Book a Cheap Hotel in New York for Oscar Night
People who book a cheap hotel in New York next month might want to spend a night in style at Oscar Night and the City, New York's official Oscar night benefit.
On March 7th, ticket-holders can put on their gowns or suits and sidle up next to industry insiders, film fans and possibly a celebrity or two at the Alice Tully Hall in the Lincoln Centre.
Celebrations start with cocktails on reception and hors d'oeuvres at 19:00, followed by the live broadcast of the 82nd Academy Awards in the concert hall. An open bar will also run throughout the evening in the foyer.
Visitors will be able to hear first-hand if George Clooney or Jeff Bridges will land their first win after multiple nominations, or if Academy favourite Meryl Streep will scoop another Oscar for Julie & Julia.
Tickets cost $150 (£96) and all proceeds go to the NYC & Company Foundation, a charity that promotes tourism in the city by funding non-profit arts and cultural organizations that attract so many visitors each year.
