Brooklyn Prepares to Call Action on Film Festival
The New York City borough of Brooklyn will become a testing ground for an array of new and unusual movies at its International Film Festival.
Taking place for the 11th time this year, this event will run from May 30th until June 8th, with 36 two-hour film programmes being held at the Brooklyn Lyceum Theater on Fourth Avenue.
The rest of the films involved in the festival will be shown at the Brooklyn Heights Cinema.
Submissions for festival prizes are accepted in a range of categories, including features, shorts, experimental and documentary.
As well as expanding their own cinematic horizons, people staying in cheap hotels in New York will be able to keep any younger visitors entertained at the KidsFilmFest on June 1st.
This day at the Lyceum Theater will screen a programme of original children's films and also offer a variety of activities.
