Brooklyn Visitors Invited to Be Literary
The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) is hosting a cultural season this year that will allow visitors to luxuriate in the romantic world of literature.
Many people staying in hotels in New York over the coming months will enjoy the Eat, Drink and Be Literary festival, which will build on three previous sold-out seasons.
A series of events for writers, readers and eaters, this festival will bring major contemporary authors to the BAM cafe to enjoy intimate dinners, give readings and take part in discussions.
On February 28th, Andre Aciman will be visiting the academy, sharing his experience of creating works such as Out of Egypt and his latest novel Call Me By Your Name.
Fran Lebowitz, author of the comic essay collection Metropolitan Life, will then be in attendance on March 13th, before two-time Man Booker Prize winner Peter Carey shares his thoughts on March 20th.
The Brooklyn Academy of Music will provide a number of events to keep people staying in hotels in New York entertained over the coming months, including a run of Macbeth between February 12th and March 22nd.
