Celebrate the Cinema of the Ocean in San Francisco

The San Francisco Ocean Film Festival is once again reeling in visitors from around the world for the fifth anniversary of the ocean-themed film event.

Anyone looking for hotels in San Francisco will have to book early as the popular event is likely to attract a large audience of experts as well as the general public.

Themes range from marine science to adventure and even water sports, with films intended not only to entertain but also to educate the audience about the world's oceans and their conservation.

The festival is due to take place at the Cowell Theatre on the city's waterfront on February 1st to 3rd 2008, beginning with the Education Programme that proved so successful as the "Best of the Fest" part is held on the Friday.

Films are then shown all weekend followed by a post-screening question and answer session to allow filmmakers to interact with their audiences.

And one of the highlights will be the world premiere of Judy Irving's 19 Arrests, No Convictions.
