Chicaghosts

Chicaghosts Visitors to Chicago who fancy a bit of spine-chilling action can get exactly that by taking in a tour of the spookiest haunts in the city run by a professional ghost hunter.

Through October and November 2007 Chicago Supernatural Tours will be running trips from the Goose Island Brewery on the north side, which are hosted by Richard T Crowe, an expert on all things spectral.

Visitors staying in cheap (but not haunted) hotels will get to find out about the St Valentine's Day massacre, see the most haunted district (Chinatown) and quiver with fear as tales of death and gloom are told.

The tour also includes a food stop at the Billy Goat pub.

A visit to Chicago need not be all spooky though.

The windy city, so called because of the funnelling effect of the wind between its towering downtown skyscrapers, offers an outstanding array of food, shopping, entertainment and architecture in a setting on the banks of Lake Michigan, giving the impression of being by the sea.
