Dine About Town in San Fran
San Francisco offers an excellent opportunity for visitors to enjoy a tour around the city and sample some of its finest cuisine in January.
From January 15th to 31st the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau will put its popular 'dine about town' programme into action.
The tour will take in some of the city's finest restaurants and some beyond the bay, offering people staying in cheap hotels in San Francisco the chance to explore more than the central areas.
All of the eateries on the programme will offer three-course prix-fixe lunches for $21.95 (£10.60) and dinners for $31.95 (£15.40).
People planning a stay in a hotel in San Francisco in January can reserve a place on the dine about town tour via the Only in San Francisco website from December 14th, which will index each participating restaurant by cuisine and location.
San Francisco is one of North America's foremost tourist destinations, famous for its mix of Victorian and modern architecture and attractions including the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz Island.
