Duck into It
The town of Gueydan in Louisiana revels in the title of The Duck Capital of America, so where better to hold a duck festival?
Anyone who likes a bit of hunting, shooting and eating, especially if it involves flying things that go "quack" or "honk" could find themselves in their element in an area that hunts and eats duck like it's going out of fashion.
Held over several dates in August but centred on the 23rd and 24th, the festival programme includes a whole range of wildfowl calling contests, shooting and of course culinary competitions to see who can make their roast fowl taste fair.
