Regularly attracting around 80,000 visitors, the parade celebrates the festive season and two annual college football games with marching bands, theme park characters and floats decorated with citrus fruits.

People staying in cheap hotels in Orlando can see the parade from 11am as it heads alongside Lake Eola, down North Rosalind Avenue and then onto Orange Avenue and past the grandstands on South Street.

Visitors who are in Orlando for New Year's Eve can head to the city's Walt Disney World Resort to be part of some memorable celebrations.

One of the highlights will be the SpectroMagic parade, which will see all of the best-known Disney characters take part in a dazzling procession before stunning fireworks are set off to provide the climax of the evening.
