Explore Alien Images in New York
The city of New York will be giving its visitors the opportunity to explore alien worlds at the American Museum of Natural History.
Travellers staying in cheap hotels in New York can catch the Beyond exhibition until April 6th 2008.
This showcase contains over 30 striking and sometimes beautiful images captured from space by unmanned interplanetary probes.
Based in the Imax gallery, the exhibition will feature photographs of four extraterrestrial landscapes, including the planets Mars and Venus.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a close look at Io and Europa, the moons of Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system.
Among the highlights of the show are images of a global dust storm on Mars, the frozen plains of Europa and an 80-mile-high volcanic plume on Io.
Many of the vivid images that visitors to New York will be able to see have never before been rendered in full colour.
