Explore Ancient Greece in New York

Explore ancient Greece in New York People with an interest in ancient civilisations should pay a visit to the Children's Museum of Manhattan while staying in cheap hotels in New York this year.

An ongoing exhibition at the museum explores the culture of ancient Greece through a selection of displays that will prove particularly popular with children.

At the centre of the showcase is a giant wooden Trojan horse that, according to the New York tourist board, is "as much a jungle gym as it is a learning tool".

Younger visitors can clamber over all manner of interactive exhibits while learning a host of fascinating facts about the gods, customs and literature of ancient Greece along the way.

There is also plenty to interest older visitors in the exhibition, including a collection of artefacts that are more than 2,000 years old.

The Children's Museum of Manhattan will open a new attraction on May 23rd that will allow visitors to try everything from designing their own rollercoaster to experimenting with kinetic energy.
