Falcon Quest

Falcon quest Those who fancy sampling a bit of the American sporting experience can do so in the city of Atlanta on September 30th, when the Atlanta Falcons take on the Houston Texans in the NFL.

Played in the covered Georgia Dome, visitors staying in cheap hotels will be able to enjoy the sport that Americans call football, even if the foot is rarely used to propel the ball.

Those unfamiliar with the game should soon pick it up while enjoying the atmosphere as the two teams of helmeted and padded giants do battle.

Outside the arena, Atlanta, host to the 1996 Olympic Games, offers a fascinating array of things to see and do.

The city is home to Coca-Cola, with a visitor centre for those fascinated by both the flavour and history of the popular fizzy drink, while the city also has many sites associated with the 1960's civil rights movement, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site, which includes both his birthplace and final resting place.
