Festival Time in Atlanta

Inman park in Atlanta will host its annual spring festival on the last weekend of April 28th and 29th, culminating in the coronation of the park's road sweeper king, the Trash Monarch.

The festival, which begins on the Friday night, will feature live music, including performances by rock and roll, blues, swing, jazz and folk bands on a number of stages throughout the city.

Central to the arts festival will be the annual parade, comprising floats, entertainers and bands and following a route lined by thousands of spectators.

Among the activities to keep children entertained are pony rides, face painting and a rock climbing wall, while the city's ballet and modern dance companies will be holding performances on both Saturday and Sunday.

Visitors to the city will also be able to gain an insight into the local history through the Tour of Homes, a consistently popular part of the festival.

Residents who live in historic houses, including craftsman bungalows, in Atlanta will open their doors to the public for the weekend, while the area has many cheap hotelf for visitors.
