Fish You Were Here
Those who love their seafood will have a chance to learn how to cook and prepare it the expert way if they head to Massachusetts in March, where the International Boston Seafood Show is being held in the Massachusetts convention centre from the 11th to the 13th.
Running from 10.00 to 17.00 local time on the first two days and 10.00 to 15.00 on the final day, the event is largely aimed at the commercial catering industry, but those attending should find out some top tips on how to make that lobster thermidor or a fish curry, as well as having the chance to get their hands on some good equipment for the kitchen and some recommended products, i.e. fish.
Outside the show, the city of Boston offers a wealth of interesting things to see and do.
Among the museums in the city are the John F Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, which traces the life and times of the famous president, the Museum of Science and the Museum of Fine Arts.
Those with a historical interest in all things to do with tea parties and independence can visit Boston National Historical Park, where the Freedom Trail passes through the Charlestown Naval Yard, home of the warship USS Constitution.
Boston has plenty of accommodation options, including cheap hotels.
