Frank Lloyd Wright Exhibition Opens in New York
An eagerly awaited exhibition dedicated to the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright opened in New York this month.
Entitled From Within Outward, the display opened at the Guggenheim Museum on May 15th and will be on view for people staying in cheap hotels in New York to see until August 23rd.
The exhibition was launched to mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Guggenheim, which was designed by Wright.
A total of 64 projects by some of the 20th century's most influential architects feature in the showcase, including civic buildings, private residences and some unrealised "mega-buildings".
Visitors can also see more than 200 original drawings by Wright in the exhibition, many of which have never been shown in public before, alongside newly commissioned models and digital animations.
The Guggenheim Museum is also exhibiting some of its collection this year, including a number of post-Impressionist pieces by Gauguin, Van Gogh, Matisse and other artists.
