Get Jazzed in Chicago
Chicago's Symphony Centre will be alive with the sounds of Jazz in January as trumpet virtuoso Wynton Marsalis leads the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra through an unmissable programme of tunes.
This performance, entitled the Love Songs of Duke Ellington, is a must-see for all jazz fans staying in hotels in Chicago on January 18th.
Wynton Marsalis has enjoyed both critical and commercial success with his jazz and classical recordings and is one of the most prominent trumpeters to hit the music scene since Miles Davis.
He will be leading the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra, which comprises many of the finest soloists and ensemble players in New York City.
Marsalis has developed quite a connection with his orchestra, having led them since way back in 1988.
Visitors with young people in tow can return to the Chicago Symphony Centre on January 19th, when the jazz virtuoso and his orchestra will be playing a show specially designed to inspire children and get them interested in music.
Jazz fans can find the centre, which is the home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, on South Michigan Avenue in the heart of Chicago.
