Go Baha-mad in Miami.

Go Baha-mad in Miami. Visitors to Miami in August will be able to enjoy a big slice of its cultural heritage when the city hosts the Goombay Festival from August 24th to 26th 2007.

Named after a kind of drum, the Goombay festival is a celebration of Bahamian culture and its contribution to the life of Miami, with a riot of colour and sound as bright costumes and traditional music bring the streets to life.

There is plenty of Caribbean food to try and a wide variety of arts and crafts are also present at stalls around the festival, enabling visitors staying in cheap hotels to add some fine souvenirs to the experience.

In addition to the festival, Miami has a wide range of attractions for visitors.

Naturally enough, chief among these is the sun, sand and surf of this city on the Gulf coast, but visitors will also be able to enjoy the cultural diversity, with a large Cuban population adding a latin flavour with their own art, music and food.

The city is also famed for its nightlife.
