Grinch Steals the Show
Dr Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of the most popular festive tales despite its mean and miserable protagonist and visitors to New York City this year can see how the well-known story translates to the stage.
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in New York can watch the Grinch get up to his party-pooping antics at the St James Theatre on Broadway from November 1st until January 6th.
The show is returning to the famous theatre strip following a sold-out run last year.
Visitors will be entertained by such familiar tunes as You're a Mean One, Mr Grinch and Welcome Christmas.
For those culturally impoverished people who are not familiar with the tale, the Grinch is a seemingly cruel character who schemes to steal Christmas away from the Whos, a cheerful and happy race of people who love to celebrate the festive season.
As the story progresses, however, the grumpy Grinch begins to understand that Christmas isn't just about the giving and receiving of gifts and learns the value of friendship.
