Renovated in 2006, this hotel consists of 170 rooms spread over 7 floors. The inviting lobby includes a reception, a hotel safe and lift access. Also featured in this fully air-conditioned hotel are a games room, conference facilities and a laundry service. There are also parking facilities available for guests arriving by car.
Hotel - Hampton Inn Universal Blvd
Hotel Listed as Point Orlando, Universal Blvd is a better address. It is not on International Drive so not so much traffic, easier access to and from missing most of the jam on the Drive if you need to go anywhere. Really convenient for Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure as it is straight up Universal Blvd past Wet & Wild.
The hotel is not overly large so not too many people but it can get busy at breakfast which is included. Good choice of breakfast although the hot option is porridge or sausage or egg variants which change daily. Rooms are more than adequate, if like us you do not spend much time there. Rooms and beds are comfortable and clean. Staff are pleasant and helpful and always strive to please.
Word of warning they do have school children by the coachload during their school periods, they have to have their school trips for bands/cheerleaders etc so this can be a problem for some.
Take a laptop for the free Wi-Fi, they now have two computers with printers for their business users (Convention Centre is very close and they use this hotel) which are free for all to use. However, when you can get on them, they are busy, the speed can vary which is frustrating if there is a queue and you can't get everything done.
Positives far outway the negatives, we have stayed there 3 times in the past few years so it is not all that bad.
