Hear Haydn's Creation in New York
Visitors to cheap hotels in New York will have the opportunity to experience a stunning piece of classical music in unique surroundings in May.
The National Chorale will perform Haydn's The Creation at Avery Fisher Hall in Manhattan on May 2nd.
This piece is widely recognised as Franz Josef Haydn's masterpiece, full of virtuoso solos, triumphant ensembles, exhilarating choruses and brilliant orchestral innovations.
Haydn wrote The Creation between 1796 and 1798 and the piece was first performed at the Schwartzenberg Palace in Vienna.
It was an immediate success and was performed almost 40 times in the Austrian capital during Haydn's lifetime and just as many times throughout Europe and England.
The National Chorale is hosting a series at New York's Avery Fisher hall this year and its performance of The Creation will be followed by a rendition of Beethoven's Symphony No 9 on May 18th.
