High Fidelity to Premiere in Boston

The musical version of Nick Hornby's novel High Fidelity is to premiere this month in Boston.

It was announced this week that High Fidelity will be making its pre-Broadway premiere at the Colonial Theatre in Boston in September.

'Boston is the only city High Fidelity is trying out in. We're hoping to keep that tradition going and attract more in the future," Drew Murphy, president of Broadway Across America, told the Boston Globe.

High Fidelity is a romantic comedy about a record shop owner in London who is struggling after having his heart broken.

A musical adaptation of Nick Hornby's novel was also made into a film, which starred John Cusack.

A number of other performances will also be beginning their run in Boston, including the Pulitzer prize-winning Doubt, starring Cherry Jones and directed by Doug Hughes.

A touring production of All Shock Up, a Broadway musical that combines a number of famous Elvis songs.
