Little Mermaid Makes a Splash on Broadway
Families visiting New York this year may get the chance to catch The Little Mermaid, the new musical that has been proving popular with critics and audiences on Broadway.
People staying in cheap hotels in New York will be able to see this show at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre until June 29th.
Based on a classic Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, The Little Mermaid was one of the most popular films made by Disney during the animation studio's heyday in the late 1980s and early 90s.
It follows the story of Ariel, a young mermaid who wants to leave the ocean and live on land, but must defy her father, the king of the sea, to do so.
Some of the most popular songs from the movie feature in the show, including Part of Your World and Kiss the Girl.
Visitors to New York will be able to enjoy a number of new musicals on Broadway this year, including In the Heights, Xanadu and Young Frankenstein.
