Nascar Roars into Vegas
Those enjoying the legendary casinos and luxury hotels in Las Vegas at the end of February will also be able to experience the quintessentially American sport of Nascar racing.
Between February 29th and March 2nd the Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosts the Nascar Sprint Cup weekend.
The Sprint Cup series takes Nascar racers all over North America, from Florida on the east coast, through Kansas and Texas all the way to California.
Las Vegas' Motor Speedway is one of the country's best-known and comprehensive race complexes, incorporating 1,600 acres of road courses, dirt tracks and a state-of-the-art drag racing facility.
The massive arena has the capacity to hold more than 100,000 people, creating a cauldron of noise and excitement come race day.
Followers of the Nascar Sprint Cup will have the opportunity to travel all over the USA in 2008, with the final race of the series being held at the Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 16th.
