Nevada Ballet Gets New Artistic Director
Nevada Ballet, the Las Vegas-based dance theatre company, has a new interim artistic director, according to reports.
The company has appointed James Canfield as its new interim artistic director, who will fill the role until a new permanent hire is made.
East Meets West and a version of Cinderella remain on the calendar for the Las Vegas company, which could be on the agenda for tourists staying at cheap hotels during their trip to the entertainment hotspot.
Featuring dancers from the Seoul Ballet Theatre as well as the performers from the Nevada Ballet Theatre, East Meets West will be staged on March 21st and 22nd, according to the theatre's website.
The 2007-08 season will draw to a close in May, when the Nevada Ballet Theatre will perform Cinderella, with choreography from Emmy award nominee Peter Anastos.
East Meets West and Cinderella follow the staging of Don Quixote, The Nutcracker and From Stravinsky to Sinatra as the programme for 2007-08.
