New York Music Guide Launched
Music fans planning stays in cheap hotels in New York this summer can make use of a new guide to the free and low-cost concerts that will be taking place in the city.
NYC & Company, the official tourism marketing agency for New York, has put together the guide and made it available on its website at nycgo.com.
The publication includes details on events ranging from Central Park's SummerStage to shows at Rockefeller Plaza.
George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Company, said: "The music programs being offered throughout the five boroughs this summer are a wonderful opportunity for artists to share their talent and give back to the community.
"We invite everyone to immerse themselves in the excitement of the shows and support the arts by attending."
Central Park SummerStage will include a variety of shows for New York visitors to enjoy this year, including a performance by the Pretenders on August 10th and a gig by Dinosaur Jr on August 16th.
Other events that travellers will be able to attend in the city include Manhattan's River to River festival and Make Music New York.
