New York Prepares for Fashion Week
People staying at cheap hotels in New York this September may notice an influx of models, designers, buyers and other such fashion types as Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week gets underway.
This event will take place at Bryant Park between September 5th and 12th and will offer everything that fashion fans need to know about the spring 2009 collections.
While the festival itself is limited to fashion industry professionals, visitors will be able to enjoy the buzz generated by the event and also find out about some of the new trends.
New York Fashion Week is one of the world's biggest events of its kind, regularly attracting the biggest industry names from all corners of the globe.
The last festival, which was held in February this year, involved the likes of Calvin Klein, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and England's own Matthew Williamson.
A themed event with a slightly different focus, the Brooklyn Book Festival, will be held at the Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza on September 14th.
