New York Salutes Children's Film
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in New York will be able to join in with a festival paying homage to the world of children's films.
The New York International Children's Film Festival will take place between February 29th and March 16th.
Founded in 1997, this event aims to promote intelligent and provocative works of cinema for people aged between three and 18.
Over its first ten years, the festival grew into the largest festival for children and teenagers in North America, attracting an audience of over 20,000 people.
This year's programme will be full of the best animation, live action, documentary and experimental filmmaking from around the world.
Around 100 new pieces of work will be shown during the festival, as well as retrospective pieces, filmmaker question-and-answer sessions, workshops and an awards ceremony.
