New York to Host Children's Film Festival

New York to host children's film festival Travellers staying in cheap hotels in New York next year will have the opportunity to turn the clock back by attending a festival showcasing movies made for younger audiences.

The New York International Children's Film Festival will run from February 26th to March 14th.

Based at the IFC Center in Manhattan, the event boasts a varied line-up of new and classic children's films and attracts celebrities, directors and others involved in the industry.

Visitors will also be able to take part in film production workshops covering disciplines such as acting, two-dimensional animation, puppetry, clay animation and much more.

Several films have had their US premieres at the New York International Children's Film Festival in the past, including Danny Boyle's Millions and A Matter of Loaf and Death starring Wallace and Gromit.

People who are interested in cinema can also pay a visit to the Museum of Modern Art in New York to see a show celebrating Tim Burton, which will run until March 15th.
