Orlando Celebrates Abraham Lincoln
The holiday city of Orlando will present a special exhibition this year celebrating one of the United States' greatest presidents, Abraham Lincoln.
Organised to mark the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth, the display will be open for people staying in cheap hotels in Orlando to see from January 23rd to March 8th.
The commemorative event will celebrate the former president's life, his legacy and the links he had to Florida.
A selection of rarely-seen artefacts will offer glimpses into Lincoln's existence in public and in private, including a letter from him to Ulysses S Grant, one of the leading Union generals in the American Civil War.
There will be a number of special events held as part of the exhibition, including a party to celebrate Lincoln's 200th birthday on February 12th.
Another occasion sure to be popular is a Civil War fashion show on March 3rd, which will offer a view of life in 1860s America.
