Orlando Museum Looks at John Sloan
The Mennello Museum of American Art in Orlando is currently presenting an exhibition dedicated to John Sloan.
According to the museum, Sloan has long been recognised as one of the most important American artists of the 20th century.
The exhibition, which people staying in cheap hotels in Orlando will be able to see until February 24th next year, features work from his Gloucester period, during which the artist concentrated on landscapes and coastlines.
Visitors will also be able to see work that was created during Sloan's travels through the American south-west, when he looked at native civilisations and recorded tourist culture.
On February 14th and 15th next year, the Mennello Museum will host the seventh annual Orlando Folk Festival.
This free weekend of events will include live music, storytelling, dance shows, folk art and traditional craft demonstrations.
