Phil the Air with Music

Phil the air with music Fans of classical music will be able to enjoy plenty of it stateside this summer as the Philadelphia Orchestra tunes up for a series of concerts in June and July.

The summer concert season features a number of performances between June 26th and July 27th, held at the Mann Centre for the Performing Arts, where the majority of seats are out in the open.

Beginning with Ode to Joy on the 26th of June, the schedule published on the orchestra's site also includes performances of Tchaikovsky's Symphony number four, Peter and the Wolf and Beethoven, with the climax on July 27th being provided by Tchaikovsky with Fireworks.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels in Philadelphia can also enjoy a range of other attractions.

A particular feature of the city is its historical buildings where key events in American history took place, most notably Independence Hall, home of the Liberty Bell and the place where the American Declaration of Independence was signed and the constitution written.
