Rockefeller Collection on Display in New York
An exhibition of paintings from the David and Peggy Rockefeller collection will open in New York this summer.
The display, which people staying in cheap hotels in New York will be able to see from July 17th to August 31st, features a group of ten early modern European paintings donated to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
Visitors to the exhibition will have opportunities to see work representing a number of different art movements, including post-Impressionism, Fauvism and Cubism.
Highlights include Paul Cezanne's Still Life with Fruit Dish, Pablo Picasso's The Reservoir, Horta de Ebro and Henri Matisse's Interior with a Young Girl/Girl Reading.
The exhibition is being presented to celebrate the Rockefellers' generosity to the MoMA and also provide a compelling insight into the development of modern art.
People visiting New York this month will be able to visit the MoMA before June 22nd to see a selection of items from the Eluard-Dausse collection, including a number of pieces of Surrealist literature.
