Seafair in Seattle

Seafair in Seattle It's not too late to get involved in the Seattle Seafair, one of America's biggest community maritime events.

Approaching its 60h annual show, this event features parades, planes and racing hydroplanes.

More than 60 handmade milk carton boats got the festival off to a great start at the Baffel Gab Milk Catron Derby and there are plenty more events throughout the summer.

A triathlon is planned for July 15th for those who like strenuous competition before the festival begins to take a more leisurely approach to fun throughout the rest of the summer.

The Torchlight run and parade take place on July 28th and final main events include the fleet arrival on August 1st and hydroplane races and air show on August 3rd to 5th.

US Navy Blue Angels will close the event with their annual flypast.

Tickets are still available and there are plenty of cheap hotels to stay in around the local area.
