See the Citrus Parade in Orlando
With year round good temperatures, Florida is a great place to visit in the colder winter months.
Come December, Orlando hosts one of its greatest festivals, with a celebration of one of the biggest things the sunshine state is known for citrus fruits.
About 80,000 people a year come to the annual Orland Citrus Parade, which marks the holiday season and two annual college football bowl games.
Marching bands, theme park characters and a whole procession of citrus-decorated floats make for the very American free festival, which will likely see cheap hotels in Orlando flooded with visitors.
Beginning at 11am, the parade proceeds past Lake Eola and down North Rosaline Avenue and Orange Avenue to the grandstands on South Street, taking in all the sites along the way.
All citrus fruits are celebrated at the event, with the big ones that Florida is famous for such as the orange alongside the likes of the tangerine, grapefruit and clementine.
Celebrities often get involved in the event too, with last year seeing a winner of the US version of Strictly Come Dancing, Helio Castroneves, taking part in the parade.
