Spooky Fun in Hollywood

Spooky fun in Hollywood Hollywood is set to host a party scarier than a barbeque on Elm Street, as the annual Halloween party will get into full spook-mode this October.

The West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnival might see the best and the brightest from the movie world joining in, but the spooky masks and creepy cowls could make it impossible to tell Tom Cruise from Joe Nobody.

In fact, some 350,000 partygoers slap on the fright-paint and get down do the monster mash at the largest Halloween street party in the US, which sees Santa Monica Boulevard closed between La Cinega and Doheny Boulevards.

Many UK residents and Europeans flock to California each year for the great weather and many attractions, while the option also remains to drive between famous landmarks and many parties, stopping only to crash in one of the area's cheap hotels.

The Halloween spook-tacular features music, dancing and costume contests, while the partying goes on into the small hours in many of the local nightclubs.
