Strut Your Surf in Cali
A Californian surf festival is set to feature Baywatch-style beach attire as a team of America's best lifeguards take on an Australian all-star team in a series of sporting events.
Held between August 3rd to August 5th, the annual festival is this year expected to attract more than 3,000 competitors will take part in volleyball matches, beach runs, swimming races and surfing competitions.
More than 100,000 spectators expected to attend the beaches of southern California for the event, according to Whatsonwhere, which will include Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo.
The event begins with the LA County Lifeguard Championships on the Friday evening, bodysurfing and surfing championships on the Saturday, while sand soccer and a volleyball tournament feature on the Sunday.
Admission to enjoy the sites is free of charge.
