Thrills and Spills in Chicago Air Show
The Chicago Air and Water Show, one of the most important aviation shows in the US, is set to offer visitors two days of death-defying stunts and action.
Regularly attracting in excess of two million enthusiasts and thrill-seekers, the event showcases spectacular displays of air and watercraft performing stunts.
Set on the lakefront at Lincoln Park, North Avenue Beach is the show's focal point, where the skilled contestants will be showing their skills to the massed crowds.
The oldest, and largest, free airshow in the country, the event has become something of a tradition in Chicago, with good views of the event available from various locations around the beach.
Highlights of the show include the US Navy Blue Angels, six jets performing their display in a delta formation, and the US Army Parachute Team Golden Knights.
