Treat Your Ears to Orchestral Entertainment in Orlando

Treat your ears to orchestral entertainment in Orlando The Florida city of Orlando is not all about white-knuckle rides and water parks, as visitors will see next year when the destination hosts the Festival of Orchestras.

Currently presenting its 25th anniversary season, this series of concerts promises to entertain audiences with music performed by the world's great symphony orchestras.

The 2008-09 season got underway on November 2nd with a performance by the Kirov Orchestra at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.

On January 10th, people staying in cheap hotels in Orlando will be able to see the next show when the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra visits the same venue.

Conducted by Derek Gleeson and featuring vocal accompaniment by soprano singer Mairead Buicke, the orchestra will perform pieces including Mozart's Dove Sono from The Marriage of Figaro and Beethoven's Symphony no 7.

The next big show will come on January 31st, when the Budapest Festival Orchestra will give renditions of works including Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody no 3 and Brahms' Symphony no 1.
