Weak dollar attracts Brits to Vegas Thousands of British tourists are said to be taking advantage of the weak dollar and staying in cheap hotel in Vegas.

According to Las Vegas Now, tourists from Europe and the UK are heading to the gambling capital of the world in their droves.

Speaking to the publication, Jayne Miles, a visitor from London, said: "The dollar is good for us. We get a good exchange so that's why we come to America."

Londoner Nigel Burdett, also holidaying in the city, added: "Just means we get a lot more spending power over here like drinking and shopping."

Work has already begun on expanding the city's airport it for the future when it expects tourist numbers to thrive even more.

Las Vegas Airport's Terminal 3 is currently under construction with an extra six gates being built to welcome international travellers.

Meanwhile, those staying in cheap hotels in Las Vegas could have the chance of seeing the comeback of troubled pop star Britney Spears.

According to rumours in the News of the World, the Toxic singer is planning a mammoth concert at the end of the year in the city's Palms Hotel and Casino.
