Website Tweets Flight Deals
Fly.com, an airfare search engine, has today announced that it will launch 'real-time fare alerts' in the UK through social networking website Twitter.
The service will provide information on cities including London, Manchester and Glasgow before rolling out the service nationwide.
Last month, the company launched the service in the US, initially releasing feeds for key cities including New York and San Francisco and has now added 20 more cities.
Brian Clark, general manager of Fly.com, said: "The access we have to real-time fares and inventory instantly lets us see when fares change, so it's a natural next step to make the great deals we come across known to our users via Twitter."
He added: "That said, we dont want to spam people with every good deal. Our goal is to share only those that are the best or most unique, from our searches."
Customers can specify the feeds they want by following the handles of individual cities.
