Whitney Prepares for Biennial Celebrations

New York City's Whitney Museum of American Art will present its biennial show between March 6th and June 1st this year.

People staying in cheap hotels in New York will be able to learn more about the latest and most exciting developments in American art, with a selection of the work of nearly 100 artists.

The exhibition sets out to characterise the modern art world by exploring the way in which artists work in more genres, use more materials and move among more geographic locations than ever before.

Artists featured in the show have drawn their inspiration from a range of sources, including music, the occult, pulp fiction, history, the cinema and politics.

The biennial also encompasses a range of media, from painting, sculpture and photography to internet art, installations and films.

In addition to the range of exhibitions, the Whitney biennial celebrations will include afternoons with artists, seminars, workshops and lectures.
