World's Biggest Disco Fans Wanted in New York

World's biggest disco fans wanted in New York Fancy yourself as a party princess? Or maybe a disco diva? Those who rate their potential for some unfettered revelling will like the look of the world's biggest disco on November 24th.

Every year this no-holds-barred knees-up is held to celebrate the value of spending an evening of the dancefloor and is named after a momentous, world record-breaking occasion in 1979.

Gloria Gaynor and the Trammps played at New York's Buffalo Convention Centre to 13,000 people 28 years ago.

It was confirmed as the world's biggest disco by the Guinness Book of Records and in 1994 a new generation of partygoers paid tribute to the achievement.

Since then a massive party has been held every year at the Convention Centre to pay homage to everything that is great about getting on your glad rags and throwing some shapes to your favourite tunes.

Revellers who book themselves a cheap hotel in New York and enjoy the world's largest disco will also be doing their bit for charity – to date the event has raised $650,000 (£322,460) for good causes.
